Sweet rolls or savory rolls? That is the question. I choose both!! These PESTO PIZZA ROLLS ๐Ÿ’š๐Ÿง„๐Ÿ…๐Ÿ• are such a fantastic Friday treat to incorporate into any meal, anytime of the day. Pesto Pizza Rolls:

Dough:
– 1/4 cup olive oil
– 1/2 cup nonfat plain Greek yogurt
– 1/2 teaspoon salt
– 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
– 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
– 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
– 1 teaspoon honey
– 1 teaspoon baking soda
– 2 teaspoons baking powder
– 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
– 2 cups all-purpose flour (more for dusting)
Filling:
– Homemade pesto:
– 3 cups fresh basil leaves
– 1 teaspoon dried oregano
– 3/4 cup shredded Parmesan cheese
– 2/3 cup pine nuts
– 2 green onion stalks
– 3 garlic cloves
– 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
– Juice of 1/2 lemon
– Diced tomatoes
– Shredded Parmesan cheese
Preheat the oven to 425 ยฐF. Mix together the ingredients for the dough in a large bowl and knead the dough for 1 minute. Add more flour if itโ€™s too sticky. Sprinkle flour on a clean countertop and place the dough on the floured surface. Roll flat with a rolling pin until about 1 cm thick. To make the filling, use a blender to purรฉe the pesto ingredients. Spread the pesto over the flattened dough. Then, sprinkle with the tomatoes and Parmesan cheese. Roll up the dough tightly and cut into 1 1/2 inch-wide pieces. Place in a greased round cake pan or pie dish, allowing some spacing between the rolls for the dough to expand when baking. Bake for 18 minutes. Serve warm and enjoy!๐Ÿ˜‹
