What could go wrong with peanut butter and chocolate? It’s one of my absolute favorite combos. Here’s my PEANUT BUTTER-CHOCOLATE-CARAMEL PROTEIN BARS 🥜🍫 The bottom begins with a pb oatmeal crust, next is a peanut butter-date caramel filling, and last is a crackly dark chocolate layer. The quad squad loves these as a great post-workout snack. I hope you like it too! 😋
Recipe down below!!⬇️

Pb layer:
– 3/4 cup natural peanut butter
– 3 tablespoons natural maple syrup
– 1/2 cup water
– 1/4 cup whey chocolate protein powder
– 1 1/2 cup oats
Caramel layer:
– 9 pitted medjool dates
– 1/4 cup natural peanut butter
– 1/2 cup whey protein powder
– 1/2 cup water
Dark chocolate layer:
– 3 dark chocolate squares (30g)
– 2 tablespoons coconut oil
Line an 8×8 square pan with wax paper. For the peanut butter layer, melt the peanut butter and maple syrup together, and add in the rest of the ingredients. Press that peanut butter mixture into the pan. For the caramel layer, mash the dates in the water, and mix in the rest of the ingredients. Spread that mixture over the peanut butter layer. Lastly, melt dark chocolate (I use 92% cacao) with coconut oil and pour over the caramel layer. Spread evenly and freeze for 3 hours. Keep frozen, but allow to thaw for 5 minutes before eating. Enjoy!!
